Rebel Moon Director’s Cut is coming and now we know the exact release date on Netflix: Snyder has also indicated what the new names of the two films in the mature version are.

Rebel Moon hasn’t exactly impressed sci-fi fans and the international press, but perhaps with the arrival of the Director’s Cut the two films will be able to redeem themselves? For now we can’t answer, but at least we know when we will be able to.

Snyder has in fact revealed the exact release date of the two films: August 2, 2024 , again on Netflix.

The two films also change names. The films were originally called Rebel Moon – Part 1: Daughter of Fire and Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar. Now the English titles are Chalice of Blood (literally The Chalice of Blood) and Curse of Forgiveness (The Curse of Forgiveness).

In any case, remember that both films reported more than positive numbers in terms of pure views, which could lead Netflix and Snyder to work on new chapters or in any case other products related to the saga. Snyder previously stated that the direction for the saga is clear and that, in case there are possibilities of new works even in different media made by different people, it would be possible to maintain a certain creative coherence.

However, still speaking of the two Rebel Moon films in Director’s Cut format, we can expect about an hour more of film, with a total of about six hours for the two films . Furthermore, this version will not have censorship and is designed for a more adult and mature audience.
