At the end of the 13th century, the Mongol Empire destroys entire nations in an effort to subjugate the East. The island of Tsushima is the only thing that separates the main territory of Japan and the huge Mongol fleet under the command of the treacherous and ruthless Khotun Khan.
The first attack of the Mongol army ends in complete defeat for the defenders of the island. Only the brave samurai Jin Sakai is ready to continue resistance. Almost no one from his clan survived, and Jin is ready to do anything to save his people and free his home. He will have to reject military traditions and follow his own path – the path of the Ghost. He starts a war without rules for the freedom of Tsushima.
