The first Octopath Traveler finally arrives on PS4 and PS5, also available in a bundle with the second chapter and thus making it available on all platforms.

Square Enix has officially relaunched the Octopath Traveler series with a couple of rather surprising new features that arrived overnight, including the launch of the first chapter now available on PS4 and PS5 and the announcement of the new sales milestone reached by the series.

The first Octopath Traveler is therefore finally available on PS4 and PS5, where strangely it had not yet been released, despite being present on all other platforms and despite the sequel itself having arrived on Sony consoles, so this release puts an end to a rather bizarre situation.

In addition to this welcome news, Square Enix also announced the updated sales results for the Octopath Traveler series, which considering the two chapters together has so far totaled 4 million copies sold worldwide on all platforms, even if the data is still updated to last year.

The second chapter has also received an update , with a patch that adds some new battles at the end of the main story and various improvements in terms of quality of life, making some aspects of the game easier.

Both chapters can also be purchased in a bundle that includes Octopath Traveler 1 and 2 together, to therefore try the complete experience of this particular Square Enix series which aims to evoke the most classic tradition of the JRPG, which is also the first title of this caliber to use the particular graphic style defined as “2D-HD”.
