DICE has announced another in-game event for Battlefield 2042 with a limited time mode and themed cosmetics. The next event, called Future Strike, will take place from May 28 to June 11.

The event will introduce Strike Team mode to the shooter in 4v4 or 8v8 format depending on the map. This is an analogue of Search and Destroy from Call of Duty – you need to capture an object or take out the opposing team. The first team to win 6 rounds wins the match.

Each round lasts 90 seconds, and units are limited to only one specific specialist in the group. In addition, teams can see the opponent’s composition.

Strike Team focuses on tactics and team play, so there are no respawns after death. A comrade can only be picked up if he has fallen and is waiting for the timer to die. After death, he can be revived by an OV-P drone for reconnaissance.

Strike Team mode will be available on 11 maps, including Stadium, Rupture, Sanctuary, Discovery, and others.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PC and consoles of both generations. The seventh season of the shooter was the last. Previously, the “Stadium” map was added to the title, as well as the DFR Strife machine gun and the XFAD-4 Draugr stealth aircraft.
