Square Enix has released a new patch for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: the action role-playing game for PlayStation 5 has been optimized and various bugs have been fixed. Let’s see what’s new.

While Square Enix discusses what the next remake of Final Fantasy 7 will be like, the Rebirth team is concerned that the chapter released this year is optimized and releases a new update .

This is update 1.040 for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which fixes a series of bugs and optimizes the stability of the game on PlayStation 5

As regards the new features of this patch in more detail, the official Square Enix page dedicated to the role-playing game reads the following, in translation:

  • Fixes for bugs that occasionally prevented game progress under certain conditions.
  • Fixes that allow the player to acquire photo frames if a bug occurs that prevents them from being acquired after meeting their unlock conditions.
  • Fixed bugs that trigger under certain circumstances during battles.
  • Fixed a bug where information would not appear on screen when selecting to play Phase 2 of the Gambit Gears minigame on Hard Mode.
  • Fixed several bugs related to display.
  • Improvements to the overall stability of the game.

The previous update for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was released on April 11th and this one also featured bug fixes. By now the role-playing game is complete and we shouldn’t expect additions or new content, unless Square Enix announces a DLC as happened with the first chapter.
