EA’s Iron Man game is going well, but still a long way from release:

EA Motive studio director Patrick Klaus revealed what’s going on at the studio in an update post that touches on both the studio’s upcoming Iron Man game and the broader situation with the Battlefield series.

We already know the basic things about Iron Man that we could already expect. EA calls it a “third-person action-adventure game” that features “an original story that draws on the rich history of Iron Man, capturing the complexity, charisma and creative genius of Tony Stark and allowing players to feel what it’s like to actually play as Iron Man.”

Klaus continues to assure that the Iron Man game, first announced in 2022, is still in production by another team EA’s Iron Man game is going well, but still a long way from release

Development of our Iron Man project continues to move forward, under the leadership of Olivier Proulé (Executive Producer) and Ian Fraser (Creative Director). The team has made excellent progress this year, reaching an important internal milestone and laying a strong foundation for the journey ahead.

The last part indicates that the game’s reveal is still a long way off, and Klaus ends by mentioning the various open positions at Motive, which will continue to grow – the game’s development team is likely just getting going.

Fortunately, Olivier Proullet is involved in the development, who served as a senior producer on Guardians of the Galaxy from Eidos Montreal – this game was a great example of bringing Marvel comics into games.
