It therefore seems that the development team has taken on board the criticisms of users, moving where possible to improve the experience of this remake of Frederick Raynal’s masterpiece , which in many respects has unfortunately disappointed expectations.
The new game plus mode is now accessible once the campaign has been completed and allows you to begin the story with all weapons unlocked, a revised difficulty balance, tougher enemies, some new sequences and a completely new alternative introduction.
The improvements
The update, which arrives a few hours after the confirmation that Alone in the Dark has sold less than expected , also introduces a series of fixes and improvements of various kinds , fixing a long list of more or less serious glitches, as well as something like ninety collision-related problems

The developers have added two slots for autosaves , new popups to highlight objects in the scenario, a contextual tutorial for dodging when you haven’t used them in combat for a while and new icons for throwing Molotovs and bricks.
There are many fixes regarding the fighting , one of the most criticized aspects of the game: we have tried to improve the impact performance, the reaction to hits, the general animations and the timing of the hits.
In addition to this, the very long list of changes made also includes interventions related to the stability of the game, performance also on Steam Deck, visual quality, interface and general balance.
