Star Wars Outlaws
Another surprise, the gameplay footage opens with one of the many secondary activities that we will find in Star Wars Outlaws , like a sort of simple video game. The demo focuses on the many game activities, more precisely on the hunt for a wanted person. The game puts us in the shoes of a “rogue” in the series, who tries to make ends meet in the best way possible. Between visits to bars and space travel, we visit in real time some of the most famous planets in George Lucas’ universe such as Tatooine. We are between the first and second cinematic chapter, between the clone wars. The action all takes place in real time, from interstellar travel to planetary exploration. On them there will be no shortage of fortresses to plunder, fights and many adventures. The friendly travel companion, Nyx, can be used for various reasons, to distract enemies or even attack them. The final game promises great variety. We saw an extended version of the demo for all the details of Star Wars Outlaws , what Ubisoft calls the first open world set in the Star Wars universe.
XDefiant
We move on to XDefiant , Ubisoft’s “All-star” shooter. In this game each faction is made up of characters borrowed from the main series of the French giant, such as Far Cry, Splinter Cell and others. The game will be released from early access on July 2nd.
Skull and Bones
Season 2 of Skull and Bones is arriving and with it a sea of new content, ships, customization options and even sea monsters. Also coming will be the ability to manage your own fleet and a chance to play 5v5 multiplayer.
Prince of Persia
Gwenn Berhault takes the stage to talk about 3 projects linked to the Prince of Persia. The first is free content for The Lost Crown which adds a portion of story, but also challenges, combat and new platform levels to overcome. Evil Empire brings The Rogue Prince of Persia to the conference and invites you to try the early access with new levels, enemies, weapons and content. The Prince of Persia remake The Sand of Time is also back after the problematic announcement a few years ago. This time we see only one date, 2026, as the launch window.
Rocksmith Plus
Rocksmith Plus comes to say that this guitar simulator is free to try.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
There is also room for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora , the open world set in Cameron’s cinematic universe. The first story pack The Sky Breaker will arrive on June 16th, adding the “big games” to this universe. Something shocking, however, happens and we will once again find ourselves fighting humans to avenge our people.
The Crew Motorfest
The Crew Motorfest presents the final season of the game’s first year. The motorfest, however, will continue next year with a new Hawaiian island that will arrive in the game for free. Then it will be Japan’s time.
Year 117: Pax Romana
We cut to a crazy cutscene in which we see a preacher preaching in front of goats and empty fields. In reality it is the prelude to the new Year 117: Pax Romana, the new chapter of Ubisoft’s strategy series. As you can understand, it is set during the Roman Empire and our aim will be to expand the empire and its trade. For the first time it will be possible to choose the province of departure. Year 117: Pax Romana will arrive in 2025 on PC and consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After a quick overview of the new features of For Honor, Brawhalla, The crew Motorfest, Monopoly, Trackmania, Riders Republic and Battlecore we move on to Assassin’s Creed Shadows , the main dish of the evening. We start with a song from the soundtrack performed live, and then move on to the first information on the game, summarized in our preview . The game is set in a divided Japan, in the midst of the wars that broke out to unify the country. The protagonists are Naoe, a silent and light ninja, and the massive samurai Yasuke. Two protagonists with a completely different way of playing, one direct and one indirect, so as to satisfy a wider audience of fans. Yasuke is direct, brutal and unable to move silently due to his armor, while Naoe is the classic adept of the series, able to move in the shadows and climb the roofs of the city, also thanks to the grappling hook. The landscapes are typical of this period, with cherry trees in bloom, despite the dynamic weather, rice fields and the characteristic architecture of the time.
The graphic style seems much better than in the past, mainly thanks to the abandonment of PS4 and Xbox One to focus on Series X|S and PS5, in addition to the inevitable PC. The missions can be carried out indifferently with one of the two protagonists, what will obviously change will be the approach to the game. Assassin’s Creed Shadows arrives on November 15th.
As always, CEO Yves Giullemot takes to the stage with a selection of the talents who work for Ubisoft to thank them and the fans for their support.
