Rumor: PlayStation is discussing releasing Helldivers 2 on Xbox
Insider and XboxEra podcast host Nick Baker (known as Shpeshal_Nick) revealed in a recent episode of the show that Sony is discussing releasing the co-op shooter Helldivers 2 on Xbox consoles.
According to Baker, “early preliminary discussions” are currently underway. Note that before this, Baker’s insights often both hit the mark and missed greatly. Perhaps a more reliable source will confirm this information in the future.
Baker noted that Helldivers 2’s release on Xbox is now likely due in large part to new PlayStation CEO Hiroki Totoki, who is more open to third-party platforms.
