Capcom will soon release the iPhone, iPad and Mac version of Resident Evil 7, with launch set for next month. Additionally, a Resident Evil 2 remake conversion is also in the works.

Surprisingly, a few minutes ago Capcom announced that Resident Evil 7 and the remake of Resident Evil 2 will arrive on iPhone, iPad and Mac , continuing the work of conversions of the survival horror series games for Apple devices after those of Village and the remake of fourth chapter.

The first of the two games to arrive will be Resident Evil 7, among other things within a month. In fact, the launch is set for July 2 and will be supported by iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and any iPad and Mac with an M1 or higher processor. As for the remake of Resident Evil 2, however, no precise timing has been offered.

Resident Evil 7 conversion details

As for Resident Evil 7, players can expect a similar experience to that seen on PC and console, with the game supporting Apple’s proprietary MetalFX Upscaling technology to ensure high visual quality and performance. The iPhone and iPad versions will also include improved controls with a new auto-fire feature, which activates after aiming at enemies for a set period of time.

Once available, players will be able to try a portion of the game for free before deciding whether to buy it or not. Furthermore, the purchase is universal, meaning you can play on all supported iPhone, iPad and Mac devices in your possession by purchasing the game only once. Obviously there is no lack of cross-save to continue the game from where you left it every time you switch to another Apple device.

Resident Evil 7 pre-orders will be available on the App Store today. At the moment no official prices have been indicated. The base game will be bundled with the “Not a Hero” expansion , the expansion starring Chris Redfield. The Gold Edition Upgrade, however, will grant access to all other DLC, including “End of Zoe,” “Banned Footage Vol. 1,” “Banned Footage Vol. 2,” “5-Coin Set,” “Survival Pack” and the “Madhouse” difficulty level.
