DESTINY 2: THE EPISODES OF THE ULTIMATE FORM NO LONGER HAVE SECRETS THERE WILL BE A YEAR 11
Unfortunately we didn’t see any teasers for Destiny 3, but the event broadcast live by Bungie revealed a lot of information regarding the future of Destiny 2 . During the live broadcast we discovered the contents of the upcoming Episodes and even the code name of Year 11, which is real.
Echoes
The first post-Witness episode focuses on the concept of Echoes, legacies of the powerful enemy that we finally defeated in the latest expansion of Destiny 2. One of these Echoes will be collected by a mysterious enemy linked to the Vex , which is why we will have to return to Nessus and tackle a new seasonal activity. Over the course of the season we will also be able to get our hands on armor and weapons heavily inspired by the design of the robotic faction.
Revived
Another of the Echoes of the Witness will be collected by Firkul , which is why the second episode, Revenant, will put us face to face with the Fallen and the Infamous . One of the contents of this season will be linked to the mechanics of potions , which we will be able to implement to obtain various advantages and better control the loot of activities. The Fallen themed weapons and armor are also very interesting, as they will transform us into one of the mighty enemies.
Heresy
In the third and final episode, Heresy, the Guardians will have to return to face the Hive , probably the most fascinating of Destiny’s enemy factions. It is not clear what threat the Guardians will have to face, but it has been confirmed that our heroes will have to return to a place they know very well: the Dreadnaught , a huge ship that we explored on the occasion of the release of The King of Corrupt. Again, the armor will be strongly linked to the Hive and all seem to be inspired by the Eris Morne aesthetic.
What’s next?
Although many believed the arrival of Destiny 3 to coincide with the end of the narrative arc linked to Light and Darkness was possible, it seems that the story of the second chapter will continue for at least another year. Bungie has confirmed that Destiny 2 will have a Year 11 , codenamed Frontiers . The arrival of this year of content is set for 2025 and, in all likelihood, will mark the arrival of an expansion with further episodes whose themes are impossible to hypothesize in the current state of things.
