New images of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree show off the expansion’s locations and characters
Let’s see some new images of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, published by Bandai Namco on the occasion of the new tests on the highly anticipated expansion of the FromSoftware game.
Given the enormous global success achieved by the main game, it is not surprising that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has become one of the most anticipated titles of 2024, even more than other complete games, despite it being only an expansion: therefore the many fans will be happy to be able to see some glimpses of the FromSoftware title from the new images published in these minutes.
The new materials were distributed by Bandai Namco during a further test session to which we had access: to find out everything we discovered, we refer you to our test in which we describe the three hours we spent with the highly anticipated expansion from FromSoftware , and which really did not disappoint expectations.
In addition to these new features, we can also see a nice group of screenshots which serve, if nothing else, to immerse us in the right atmosphere and also reveal something else about Shadow of the Erdtree, including characters, settings and game situations.

A familiar style, but also new
The general style that emerges from the images is clearly close to that of Elden Ring, being an expansion within the same world, but there are still peculiar characteristics.
In particular, it is possible to see some glimpses of the settings, such as the enormous castle which represents one of the first dungeons to explore in Shadow of the Erdtree.
The Land of Shadows , where part of the new portion of the game takes place, is an area of remarkable beauty, with large towering structures and various natural elements. Ensis Castle and the Walled Settlement of Belurat are also located here, with the latter also representing an important element in terms of quest design.
For the rest, we can also see some new characters and new weapons and armor , but these are only fragments of the large amount of content that awaits us within Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which promises a practically equal amount of new features to a complete new game, or almost. Meanwhile, let’s remember that the release is now close, set for June 21, 2024.
