Helldivers 2 is updated with a new patch, a few hours after Sony’s about-turn on the requirement of a PSN account to play on PC . Patch 01.000.302 has been available since May 7, which brings various improvements and resolves bugs and technical problems.
Specifically, update 01.000.302 fixes a bug with Damage Over Time effects that didn’t work correctly in some situations and makes improvements to R-9 Eruptor. The Damage Over-Time bug allowed only the owner of the session to inflict damage and this obviously represents a problem in battle, furthermore there were difficulties with the use of some weapons for players who joined the section later.
Furthermore, with this new patch R-9 Eruptor evolves , it now has an explosive damage equal to 40 but the post-explosion splinters also disappear, so you can say goodbye to accidental kills. The update also balances some weapons and fixes minor bugs and issues that could cause unexpected crashes on both PS5 and PC.
