Helldivers 2, Arrowhead CEO sad about negative reviews

Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead Game Studio , reacted in a sad and resigned manner to the many negative reviews that Steam users have given to Helldivers 2 after the announcement in the last few hours.

As reported, in fact, Helldivers 2 will require a mandatory PlayStation account also on PC and this constraint inevitably sparked controversy, which then resulted in the timely review bombing on the Valve digital platform.

“Ouch, right in the review score!”, wrote Pilestedt commenting on the incidence of negative reviews, which changed the general opinion on Helldivers 2 on Steam from “mostly positive” to “mixed”.

“Well, I guess it’s justified. I apologize to everyone for how things went down. I hope we can make amends and regain your trust by continuing to provide you with a great experience. All I want is to make great games.”

Can one misstep ruin everything?

Sony’s announcement in relation to the obligation to create a PlayStation profile also to play Helldivers 2 on PC represents a misstep that could impact the Japanese company’s multiplatform strategies .

In fact, Steam users do not look favorably on this type of operation, and from a future perspective the company will necessarily have to take it into account.
