Released on May 16th, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is achieving considerable success on PC so much so that over the weekend the Sucker Punch game reached 72,576 connected players, becoming the third best PlayStation launch ever on Steam.
If the absolute record goes to Helldivers 2 with a peak of 458,709 players registered in February, in second place among the most successful Sony games on Steam we find God of War with 73,529 users and followed by Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut with its over 72,000 users connected.
Ghost of Tsushima therefore also surpasses giants such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (66,000 players) , Horizon Zero Dawn (56,000) , Horizon Forbidden West (40,462) and The Last of Us Part 1 (36,000 players) .
And if the numbers of Helldivers 2 are simply impossible to reach for a single player adventure, it is not excluded that Tsushima could soon surpass God of War, thus becoming the second best PlayStation launch ever on PC, the first if we exclude Helldivers 2.
Ghost of Tsushima was well received on PC although as often happens in these cases there is no shortage of controversy due to the delay in the release of the game: the PS4 version was published in 2020 while the Director’s Cut was released in 2021, the Windows version It therefore arrives three years after launch on PlayStation 5.
