Elden Ring: a mod puts us in the shoes of Kratos, complete with Blades of Chaos and custom moves
Thanks to modder MarkusRollo, Elden Ring players can now take on the role of Kratos and demolish enemies with the Blades of Chaos.
MarkusRollo today published a new mod for the PC version Elden Ring that transforms the Lightless into the young version of Kratos , the Spartan protagonist of the God of War series. This isn’t just a skin, as this mod also adds the iconic Blades of Chaos and a custom moveset . You can see the mod in action in the video below.
More specifically, the appearance of the Ghost of Sparta is based on that of the skin included in God of War: Ragnarok and is linked to the chest armor, which can be removed at any time if desired. It is possible to immediately start a game as Kratos by selecting him as the starting class, complete with statistics, description and custom icons.
The character alone would be nothing without the Blades of Chaos, the iconic swords forged in the Underworld and given to the Spartan by Ares. This pair of blades can be used one-handed or two-handed and includes a moveset specially chosen to be as similar as possible to that of Kratos and flaming visual effects. As you can see in the video below, the Blades of Chaos allow you to perform the Spartan Slam , with which the character unleashes a rain of fire and then performs a powerful blow to the ground with the blades which generates an explosion.
