Destiny 2: The Ultimate Forme on Steam equaled its concurrent player record despite issues
According to SteamDB data, Destiny 2: The Ultimate Forme has practically equaled its previous record for players connected simultaneously, net of the numerous connection problems.
Despite the connection problems that prevented many users from playing Destiny 2: The Ultimate Forme in the first hours of launch, Bungie’s MMO has practically equaled its previous maximum record for number of players connected simultaneously on Steam, as proof of the great enthusiasm for the final chapter of the Light and Darkness saga that began ten years ago.
To be precise, after the launch of the expansion the ceiling of 314,634 simultaneous active players was reached, one step away from the 316,750 users registered in February last year at the debut of L’Eclissi. The numbers, however, are higher than those of any other expansion or flashback of the game, which on the contrary, after the postponement of La Forma Ultima, had begun to show some not very encouraging signs of slowing down in terms of attendance, with the prospects worsened by the layoffs occurred within Bungie last year.
