CD Projekt has confirmed that it plans to release big games more frequently
On the occasion of its latest financial report, CD Projekt confirmed that it intends to launch very large games more frequently.
During its recent financial report for the quarter ending March 31, 2024, CD Projekt confirmed its plan to accelerate the launch of the company’s big games . There is no talk of bringing forward its release, but of having a more regular schedule. If we remove the various expansions and minor games, from 2007 to today CD Projekt has launched The Witcher (2007), The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (2011), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015) and Cyberpunk 2077 (2020).
Excellent results
The answer was given to a specific question asked by an investor who asked about the software house’s ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to make the release calendar more regular.
“We already developed two projects at the same time when we worked on Phantom Liberty, because it was a title of comparable size to a full game, with almost 300 people working on it, and at the same time we already started working on Polaris , so we have experience in work on multiple projects,” said CEO Michał Nowakowski.
“And we’re working on more than one project right now too. There’s Cyberpunk 2077 in development in Boston, there’s Polaris in development primarily here in Europe, and obviously we have other projects, with other teams like that of Project Sirius, also in Boston with The Molasses Flood.

“And there’s the remake of The Witcher 1 done in collaboration with Canis Majoris , so you can definitely expect us to release more titles. The frequency of releases is something we definitely intend to increase, although I won’t comment on the timing between projects.”
In short, we expect great news from CD Projekt Red in the future, also because the excellent financial results of the last few months will yield greater investments , which will benefit the games.
