Arrowhead knows Helldivers 2 players are using an “undemocratic” exploit to farm Super Credits, but isn’t too concerned,Give players free premium currency and they will learn how to farm it. Helldivers 2 is set up like many other service games, with cosmetics and bonds that can be purchased with premium Super Credits, but it’s unique in how easy it is to get those premium bucks for free. You’ll find Super Credits just lying around in underground bunkers or supply capsules in the field in packs of 10.

If you play a lot, these Credits naturally accumulate over time, but some players use an exploit with the way Helldivers 2 generates missions to farm the same Super Credits over and over again. The process is slow but reliable, and Arrowhead is aware of these shenanigans.

Arrowhead Community Manager responded to Discord regarding Super Credit farming:

We are aware of this undemocratic behavior. Thank you for doing your duty and reporting this. Hooray!

This exploit isn’t so much a bug or glitch as it is an exploitation of Helldivers 2’s randomly generated POIs. All you have to do is load any mission, find a supply capsule (indicated by flashing yellow lights from afar) containing 10 free Super Credits, then exit games and return to this place again. Your account will immediately receive Super Credits every time you pick them up, but the item will refill every time you reload the mission.

It works, but it’s slow and monotonous. If you decided to do this for hours, you could earn a couple of dollars in Super Credits for your next bond… or you could just play a normal mission, ransack every pod and bunker on the map, and earn 20-30 credits just for playing normally.

So it’s understandable why Arrowhead isn’t too concerned about this exploit. She already gives out Super Credits in every mission, and if you think about it, just playing Helldivers 2 is another method of “farming” Super Credits. Arrowhead has not directly stated that it is actively working to combat credit farming, although if the practice is on its radar, it may do something about it.
