Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is seen as DLC and this will specifically impact the PS5 version
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be a complete game, clearly, but on a purely technical level it will be a DLC. This may not make much difference if there is a specific impact on PS5.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is still far away, given that it will arrive in autumn like every year, but little by little new information is starting to emerge regarding Activision’s shooter. In fact, it seems that – once again – it will be categorized as a DLC .

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may not have a Platinum on PS5

Black Ops 6 will be another “DLC” download for the Call of Duty HQ app, same as MWIII

Obviously all this discussion is more a question of semantics and is not unexpected. It is a DLC in the sense that it will be on a technical level part of the Call of Duty HQ app that Activision has been pushing for years as the only access portal for the latest CoD experiences.
For the rest, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be a complete classic game, with no particular differences except that it probably won’t have a Platinum trophy on PS5 . In fact, games on the Sony console can only have the maximum level trophy if they are a game, not if they are DLC. The same had already happened with the PlayStation 5 version of Modern Warfare III .
Furthermore, the Call of Duty HQ app is not very popular because it forces you to download parts of games that may not be of interest to the gamer. It’s an advantage for Activision because it’s a one-stop portal to showcase everything it has to offer, but some players don’t like not being able to manage individual games separately.
