Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty drove CD Projekt’s revenue last quarter
CD Projekt has revealed its last quarter figures, driven by the positive results of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
CD Projekt has published its financial report for the last quarter, ended March 31, 2024, with decidedly positive results, given that there is talk of a growth in profits of 30% and an EBIT (a measure of operating profit before financial charges and taxes) of 14%. Incidentally, revenues of PLN 226,785,000 (53,339,832 euros at the current exchange rate) were produced, compared to 174,757,000 PLN (41,101,820.75 euros at the current exchange rate) in the previous year.
Driving the group’s results was Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, whose sales continue to be strong , according to what was declared by the company. More precisely, sales of Cyberpunk 2077 + expansion reached PLN 146,235,000 (34,394,472 euros at the current exchange rate), compared to PLN 28,226,000 (6,638,755.20 euros at the current exchange rate) of The Witcher series ( 1,2, 3 + expansions). It is fair to specify that the titles of The Witcher series are older than Cyberpunk 2077. Operating profits were PLN 100,062,000 (23,534,582.40 euros at the current exchange rate).
Many games in the future of CD Projekt
The excellent results guarantee CD Projekt to continue the large investments made for future games. Furthermore, the company currently employs 630 developers, compared to 627 in the previous quarter. Of these, more than 400 are working exclusively on Polaris , the next chapter of The Witcher series, announced but not yet presented. However, the number should also include the developers of shared services, who are responsible for providing tools to all projects.

In total CD Projekt Red currently has four projects in the works : Polaris, Orion, Sirius and Hadar, none of which have been officially presented. The winner of the award for the best Polish game of 2023, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the latest major project launched on the market by the company, which has recovered significantly compared to the launch of the base game, which represented the low point of the its history in terms of popularity and relationship with the public.
