After having won GOTY awards with Baldur’s Gate 3 , Larian studios look towards the fervent Polish videogame industry and celebrate the opening of a new development studio based in Warsaw .
The new entrepreneurial reality linked to the Belgian software will be called Larian Warsaw and will join the other six subsidiaries based in Quebec and in Dublin, Guildford, Barcelona, Ghent and Kuala Lumpur .
The CEO of Larian studios, Swen Vincke , explains that the opening of a new studio in Warsaw was a choice made after “the visit to the Game Industry Conference last year which confirmed what I had been thinking for a while: here there is It’s really a lot of talent and a lot of like-minded developers. On top of that, a lot of them want to work on role-playing games, so it’s a perfect match . “
Vincke’s declared intention, consequently, is to entrust Larian Warsaw with maximum creative freedom and to immediately integrate the team into the ‘operational machine’ of the Belgian company, based on the great experience and dynamism of the Polish videogame industry , an industry that in recent years has seen CD Projekt become a true giant in the sector thanks to titles such as The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 (not to mention the thousand other companies operating in Poland).
“Our plan for the Polish studio is very simple” , explains the CEO of Larian in this regard before adding that “we want to set up a team capable of working on our next two very ambitious role-playing video games. We are a company that operates from the bottom up, so we are eager to see what new things and ideas they will bring into the Larian family . “

With two very ambitious RPGs now starting development, what better way to see our visions realised than by growing the team and opening a 7th studio in the heart of Poland’s lively gaming scene!
