After the scandal with Helldivers 2, the developers of the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut ran to reassure players about the imminent release. Sucker Punch and Nixxes said that the action game will not require a PSN account to play in single player mode.

The game’s creators emphasized that linking PSN accounts is only required to play Legends online mode and use the PlayStation overlay. Let us remind you that the overlay will appear on PC for the first time and will allow you to view trophies, profiles and friends lists.

The brainchild of Sucker Punch tells the story of a samurai from the island of Tsushima who is attacked and captured by the Mongols. Now Jin Sakai has to leave the path of the samurai, learn to kill enemies quietly, and carry out stealth operations to cope with the invaders.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut comes out on PC on May 16th.

The original release of Ghost of Tsushima took place in the summer of 2020 on PS4. The game was later updated for PS5. Sucker Punch is rumored to be working on a sequel.
