Xbox Game Pass will say goodbye to 5 games at the end of June but the arrival of a highly anticipated title is likely
The PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog is preparing to say goodbye to five games, which will soon be removed from the service, more specifically at the end of June. Among the upcoming titles there is also FIFA 22.
Through the Xbox app, Microsoft has revealed which games will leave the PC and Xbox Game Pass catalog on July 1st , anticipating the announcement of the service’s line-up for the second half of the month. There are 5 in total and they also include FIFA 22 , which seems to suggest the imminent debut of EA Sports FC 24 in the catalog via EA Play, let’s see the complete list:
Xbox Game Pass will say goodbye to 5 games at the end of June but the arrival of a highly anticipated title is likely
- FIFA 22 – Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via EA Play
- FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch – Xbox Series X|S and PC
- Stranded Deep – PC
- Sword and Fairy: Together Forever – Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC
- Story of Season: Friends of Mineral Town – Digital Edition – PC
Will EA Sports FC 24 soon be on PC and Xbox Game Pass?
As per tradition, all the games mentioned above will be available on the Xbox Store with a 20% discount (except for more advantageous offers) until their actual removal from the Game Pass, which could be tempting for those who want to continue playing them even after the July 1st.
As we said at the beginning, the removal of FIFA 22 suggests the imminent arrival of EA Sports FC 24 in EA Play and consequently within Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The debut of the game on these services is practically certain, but EA has not yet officially commented on the timing.
That said, last year the arrival of FIFA 23 occurred at the same time as the removal of FIFA 21 , which would seem to be an important clue that the new chapter in the series is imminent, just in time to capitalize on the excitement around the European Championships and the addition of the dedicated free mode in the game . We’ll probably know for sure in the next few days, if not today.
