Will Dragon Age: The Veilguard be playable offline? Will it have microtransactions? The game director clarifies

Does Dragon Age: The Veilguard Include Transmogrification? BioWare Gives a Definitive Answer

Dragon Age: The Veilguard game director Corinne Busche spoke in a Q&A about Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s offline mode and microtransactions.

According to the words of game director Corinne Busche, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be playable offline and will not have microtransactions : these are features that users were clamoring for and which the team therefore wanted to implement in the new chapter of the BioWare series.

“It’s very important to us that the system is built inside the game client,” Busche explained. “You will be able to play Dragon Age: The Veilguard completely offline, without needing to be connected to the network or linking your Electronic Arts accounts . This was one of the most frequent requests.”

On the same occasion, the game director reconfirmed the absence of any microtransaction or battle pass : the idea is to offer players “a single player experience that is as complete as possible”, and which therefore is not “broken up at the start” in order to then be able to sell extra modules.

Statements consistent with the latest news

The statements from game director Corinne Busche are consistent with the latest news regarding Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which will not allow you to import the choices made in previous episodes precisely because of its reconfirmed stand alone nature .

Presented with a trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the fourth chapter of BioWare’s RPG series, previously known as Dreadwolf : the unexpected name change was announced just recently.

In the new campaign we will be able to create our character by choosing between different races and classes, then gather a team of powerful warriors who will accompany us on a mission to save the kingdom of Thedas after the opening of some breaches in the Veil that separates the world of the living from that of spirits.
