WILL ATARI JAGUAR AND LYNX ALSO RETURN? MORE CLASSIC CONSOLES IN ATARI’S PLANS

A few days after the launch of the Atari THE400 Mini , a retro-console inspired by the pioneering home computer launched for the first time in 1979, the historic gaming company does not seem at all willing to stop.

After the failure of the Atari VCS , the company found its new dimension in nostalgia operations. First there was Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration , a collection for PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series then Atari 2600+ , a retro console inspired by the 1980 CX2600-A model.

Well, it seems that the Atari 2600+ proved profitable enough to convince Atari to continue down this path, so there could be more after THE400 Mini. President and CEO Wade Rosen declared this during an interview with Time Extension: “We were very satisfied with the reception from the fans and the results on the market. So there will certainly be other projects in this style . We really like them , also because they are in line with our DNA” .

What other console could arrive in the future? Rosen offered no clues on the matter, but according to Tech Extension Atari could go a little further in time, for example by reviving the 1993 Atari Jaguar , or even move into the portable dimension, introducing young gamers to a console like the Atari Lynx . Undoubtedly suggestive ideas, what do you think about it?
