WHERE TO PLAY THE ENTIRE WITCHER SERIES? MAIN EPISODES AND SPIN-OFFS

There’s still a lot of time left until the launch of The Witcher Polaris and even more so until the remake of the first episode of the series, so you have plenty of time to recover or rediscover the entire saga starring the witcher Geralt of Rivia and the his world. Here’s where you can find all the episodes of The Witcher series .

Where can you play The Witcher?

Main Series

  • The Witcher (2007) : the first episode of the series is available only and exclusively on PC and Mac OS, having never been converted for consoles. You can purchase it via Steam and GOG , where it is available in the Enhanced Edition, and Mac App Store;
  • The Witcher 2 Assassin’s of Kings (2011) : launched on PC in 2011, the following year it also arrived on Xbox 360 in Enhanced Edition marking the debut of the series on consoles. Today you can therefore purchase it on Steam, GOG and Mac App Store (Windows, MacOS and Linux versions), in physical version for Xbox 360 (if you are lucky enough to find a used copy or in stock) and in digital version on Xbox Store . The latter , in addition to running on Xbox 360, is also playable on Xbox One and Series
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015) : to date it is the easiest episode to find, being purchasable on PC via Steam and GOG, and in specific versions for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series Switches. The Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions are also playable on the same platforms.

Spin-Off

  • The Witcher Crimson Trail (2007) : was launched on cell phones of the time in JAVA format, now it appears to be officially unavailable;
  • The Witcher Adventure Game (2014) : The digital adaptation of the board game is available on PC via Steam and GOG, and on iPad via the App Store. It is not currently available on Mac, iPhone and Android, platforms on which it was made available at launch;
  • The Witcher Battle Arena (2015) : Released on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone, but its servers were shut down within a few months;
  • Gwent The Witcher Card Game (2018) : The spin-off collectible card game of The Witcher 3 can be played in free-to-play format on PC, MacOS, iOS and Android. It originally also launched on PS4 and Xbox One, but these versions were discontinued in 2020;
  • Thronebreaker The Witcher Tales (2018) : this role-playing game can be purchased on PC via Steam and GOG, PlayStation (backwards compatible with PS5), Xbox One (backwards compatible with Series X|S), Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android;
  • The Witcher Monster Slayer (2021) : This augmented reality game for iOS and Android was officially closed in 2023, so it can no longer be played.
