WHAT IS THE RAREST AND MOST EXPENSIVE PS2 GAME? FROMSOFTWARE HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT

The first PlayStation consoles hosted little-known productions that later became authentic collector’s items. We know the rarest and most expensive game for PS1 , let’s now move on to PlayStation 2 : what in this case is the rarest and most difficult title to recover due to its very high prices?

The winner could be him: we are talking about Kuon , a survival horror game by FromSoftware published between 2004 and 2006 all over the world. And given its very limited edition distribution , in the West it has become a truly coveted relic for collectors who, however, have to set aside large amounts of money to get their hands on it: in fact, it is very difficult to find a European PAL copy for under 400 euros, and in general a well-kept copy can go for more than 700 euros. And we are talking about used copies, whereas sealed copies can go well over 1000 euros.

Even the American NTSC version is no joke, with similar if not higher prices than its European counterparts. The Japanese one, on the other hand, is the cheapest edition, however, in addition to the linguistic limitations, in any case it is difficult to find an imported version under 150 euros. In addition to the limited distribution, it must also be said that Kuon was not received with great enthusiasm by international critics at the time of its release on PS2: on Metacritic the FromSoftware work reached a not very exciting average of 57 , so the modest reception could having contributed to the game’s limited success on the commercial front. However, over time Kuon has carved out his own small space among PS2 enthusiasts, thus becoming a real videogame museum piece.
