We analyze the abilities and skills of the heroes of the Fallout series,The long-awaited Fallout series is out and while watching it, gaming veterans may find themselves analyzing the potential characteristics of three key characters. And this is expected, given that the stat system plays a huge role.
It is likely that the showrunners have their own bible with character sheets, where skills, perks and SPECIAL parameters are outlined, in order to roughly imagine what a character might do and what consequences this will lead to.
We analyze the abilities and skills of the heroes of the Fallout series,Alas, the producers didn’t show anything like this, so you’ll have to analyze the characters yourself.
Lucy McLean
In Lucy’s first scene, we immediately recognize her three best skills: Repair, Science, and Speech. One could stop there, but then she adds: “I also go to a gymnastics club, fencing for the third team, and shoot a little rifle, although not very well.” Later we see how Lucy wins a wrestling competition and dashes other Vault residents in hand-to-hand combat, so her Unarmed skill is also pumped up. How did she manage to develop such a wide range of skills?
Apparently, Lucy chose the Skilled trait, which gives points to all skills, but slows down the acquisition of perks. In games, this option is a trap for beginners, but Lucy did not miscalculate. She also clearly took the Daddy’s Girl perk from Fallout 3. Discussing her scientific knowledge, Lucy remarks: “Of course, I’m far from my father, but I love difficult problems!”
Daddy’s Girl increases the starting level of Science and Medicine. In Fallout 3, the main character leaves his native Vault in search of his missing father, who, as it turns out, kept many secrets.

Gul
In flashbacks, Cooper Howard demonstrates charisma and eloquence. After becoming a Ghoul, he changes a lot. Most of the time, Cooper deals with his opponents in the most brutal ways. The Bloody Mess trait would not be absent here. Considering how often he caught his enemies off guard, Ghoul had clearly acquired the Lively perk and a whole set of shooting bonuses from New Vegas. Another trait is Chemical Resistance, as seen in the scene where Cooper easily takes a tranquilizer dart.
In addition to the obvious proficiency with firearms, Ghoul famously controls the lasso, so let’s write down Melee weapons as the second main skill. Well, where would the wasteland be without Scout, who in later games became Survival. It’s a shame that there’s no way to play as a ghoul in Fallout.

Maximus
During training in the Brotherhood of Steel, Maximus receives many blows, and having become a squire, he stoically endures the branding. Later, he doesn’t even wince from the bullet wound in his arm. Endurance is clearly its key characteristic.
But Maximus does not shine with intelligence. He does not distinguish microcircuits, although he immediately identifies the model of power armor – T-60. Maximus is also good with weapons. He hits the yao-gai in the eye with a precise shot, so let’s give him decent perception and the Accuracy trait, which gives +10% to the chance of a critical hit.
Maximus’s main skill is carrying heavy paladin equipment. The Strong Backbone perk is guaranteed to him, this is the main thing for the squire of the Brotherhood. Book knowledge is not so important, but being able to polish the groin shield of power armor to a shine is necessary. Let’s consider this the Repair skill.
