The new Tomb Raider will be revealed soon as will the next Lord of the Rings game.
Amazon Games doesn’t plan on waiting much longer before revealing the first information on the new Tomb Raider in development at Crystal Dynamics and The Lord of the Rings.
In a recent interview published by Variety, the vice president of Amazon Games , Christoph Hartmann, reported that the company will soon reveal the first information on the new Tomb Raider and the next Lord of the Rings game , both in development in co-production with Amazon Games.
Hartmann specified that this news is not exactly imminent, but that it won’t be long before we have the first information on the projects in question, with the company however wanting to avoid doing things hastily and preferring a scrupulous approach at most for titles in processing, given their importance.
“It’s not tomorrow, but it’s not far away,” Hartmann said of the information in question, which could therefore fall within this year, at the very least.
They will be great productions
“As I said, we’re trying to get to having a more regular cadence in launching games ,” the Amazon Games executive then explained.
The new Tomb Raider will be revealed soon as will the next Lord of the Rings game.
“That’s all I’m allowed to say at the moment,” implying that there is some willingness to follow a more careful planning of releases by Amazon, which should become more frequent and regular in the future.
“Everything is about quality, we’re not going to rush development, that’s not how it works. They have to be triple-A quality games, because the bar is set very high .” In fact, these are franchises of considerable importance, which deserve high-profile productions.
We know that the new Tomb Raider is in development at Crystal Dynamics , with the first information emerging in December 2022 about the confirmation of the new project, but about which we know absolutely nothing. The same team is also still involved in Perfect Dark in collaboration with Microsoft’s The Initiative, so it is possible that the project is still in the preliminary phase.
