Tekken 8 producer doesn’t rule out releasing free DLC fighters

Katsuhiro Harada, producer and head of Tekken Project, in a conversation with the MP1st portal, commented on the likely release of free DLC fighters in Tekken 8 . The developer did not deny such a move, noting that Bandai Namco would think about it.

Harada said that releasing free heroes is not a good idea, given the high cost of their production.

Characters are the most expensive content to develop, but in terms of potential, we may consider this issue further. Please stay tuned for updates.

Eddie Gordo will be added to Tekken 8 by the end of spring. He will be the first paid fighting game hero. As part of the first season, Bandai Namco will release three more heroes, but their details are not yet available.
