Starfield: Player count increased on Xbox after the launch of the latest update
The number of Starfield players on Xbox seems to have increased after the launch of the latest update, which evidently convinced many.
What are the major updates for? To understand this, just look at what the one just launched for Starfield is producing , which among other things adds 60fps graphics modes on Xbox Series As recorded by TrueAchievements , which monitors the Achievements of Xbox games, the growth of players on consoles was sustained, i.e. by as much as 72%. There was also a slight growth on PC, but evidently it was on consoles that the innovations convinced the most.
In short, patch 1.11.36, published on May 15, seems to have done its duty, rekindling a little the interest of the community which partly decided to give it a second chance.
The result is that Starfield has returned to the top 20 of the most played on Xbox and in the future it could do even better with the other planned updates and with the Shattered Space expansion , of which we should have all the details soon (at least we hope so) .

Good prospects for the future?
As mentioned, the Starfield update was really welcomed by players, thanks above all to the addition of a really useful tool like surface maps , the absence of which represented a big problem at launch, especially for the exploration of densely populated areas such as the numerous cities Bethesda built. Now losing your sense of direction becomes truly unlikely, considering that there are icons for all the most representative and interesting places.
The extent of Starfield’s success is not yet clear, which for now offers data that is not exactly legible to observers. We know that it has exceeded 12 million players , but Microsoft has no longer updated that number and has never explained it, dividing for example those who purchased it on Steam from those who played it via Game Pass subscription. Recently, however, it was revealed that it was one of the most played titles of 2023 , which isn’t all that surprising given how much it’s been talked about and given the public’s love for Bethesda’s games.
