Smite 2 reached the top of Steam sales only thanks to pre-orders,Smite 2 just appeared on Steam and has already skyrocketed to the top of the platform’s top sellers list. The game hasn’t received a release date yet, and it doesn’t even have an open beta. This surge in interest was solely due to pre-orders for the Founder’s Packs.
Smite 2 reached the top of Steam sales only thanks to pre-orders,There are three of these Founder’s Packs – the Founder’s Edition, the Founder’s Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Founder’s Edition – ranging from $30 to $100. While the game will be free at launch, the base set will give you all the gods (characters) of Smite 2 forever, some exclusive cosmetics, and a 2x bonus on any gems you carry over from the original Smite.
For higher levels, they provide additional skins and cosmetics, as well as ascension passes (paid progression for individual gods). All this, even without guarantees of access to alpha or beta testing of the game, began to be bought up very actively, bringing Smite 2 to the top of sales.
Smite 2 is a sequel to the original third-person MOBA. The gameplay will remain largely the same, with the exception of various reworks and changes to the gods. The major update in Smite 2 is the move to Unreal Engine 5, which definitely makes the game easier on the eyes than its Unreal Engine 3 predecessor.
While players of the sequel will lose a lot of their cosmetics and unlocked items from Smite 1, the game clearly needed a modern update.
