The new issue of Edge arrives and with it the votes contained in the magazine’s reviews, with the inevitable discussions that these can entail, in this case especially on Hellblade 2.

Information emerges on the new issue of the famous British magazine Edge , and we report here the votes assigned in the reviews present this month, as per tradition, among which the clear panning of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 , in particular, emerges.

We have seen how the new Ninja Theory game has led to rather mixed evaluations from critics, but generally much more positive than negative, despite the reservations expressed by many on the actual quality of the gameplay and its duration , which also resulted in first votes very high with some exceptions.

Evidently, Edge is among these exceptions and stands out in a particular way, assigning what turns out to be the lowest rating ever seen so far for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, a clear “4” , moreover the same rating that the magazine also assigned to the first Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice .

An exception, but not unjustified

The main problem described by Edge is the one highlighted by many others, but evidently considered much more relevant in the evaluation here.

This is the low level of active involvement for the player, who is often limited to being above all a spectator of what happens on the screen.

In contrast, the evaluation of Still Wakes the Deep appears very positive , taking home an excellent “8”, while No Case Should Remain Unsolved, an adventure for PC which was really liked by the editorial staff of the British magazine, is excellent.

Among the other well-known titles, Hauntii is not convincing and gets a “5”, while Homeworld 3 , Paper Trail and Little Kitty, Big City are all placed on an intermediate level with a good “7”. Let’s see the list:

  • Still Wakes The Deep – 8
  • Hellblade II – 4
  • Homeworld 3 – 7
  • RKGK/Rakugaki – 7
  • Cryptmaster – 8
  • 1000xRESIST – 8
  • Paper Trail – 7
  • Isles Of Sea and Sky – 8
  • No Case Should Remain Unsolved – 9
  • Little Kitty, Big City – 7
  • Hauntii – 5

Undoubtedly, the evaluation that will cause the most discussion is the one on Hellblade 2, although it must be said that it is precisely the same one obtained in the same magazine also by the first Hellblade , thus demonstrating a certain consistency of vision on the subject.
