Popular social game Rec Room is welcoming a space dedicated to Destiny 2 thanks to a special collaboration with Bungie to promote the looter shooter to a new audience.
Perhaps the most passionate and traditional gamers are not familiar with Rec Room , but it is a free title that has achieved considerable popularity in the particular sector of “user-generated social content”, so although this is strange, there is not much to be surprised by the new collaboration with Bungie to include Destiny 2 within the MMO in question.
With this partnership, Bungie has chosen Rec Room to insert a section dedicated to Destiny 2 into the game world, with the aim of expanding knowledge of the title to the social gaming audience and perhaps enlisting new Guardians among the younger generations who regularly meet up in Rec Room.
Starting today, Rec Room players will have the opportunity to explore a meticulously recreated version of Destiny’s iconic Tower within the game’s world: a recreation of the iconic hub from the Destiny universe, brought to Rec Room in remarkable detail, offering players an authentic experience whether they’re playing on VR, console, PC, or mobile platforms.
A new gaming experience
The gameplay experience, called Destiny 2: Guardian Gauntlet, merges Rec Room’s innovative, community-driven approach with the rich, immersive world of Destiny 2, giving players who may have never before experienced Bungie’s title the opportunity to embark on an adventure in a game setting.

Players will have the opportunity to embark on various quests and train as Guardians, engaging with other fans and exploring new dimensions of gameplay.
In addition to these environments, Rec Room will offer a new collection of avatar cosmetics based on Destiny’s three classes: Hunter, Titan, and Warlock.
