Sony is slowly expanding the range of options available for its PlayStation 5 , so that owners of the latest generation console can customize their gaming experience as much as possible and change small aspects that could make the difference. One of these concerns the brightness of the front LED.

If for some reason you are annoyed by the brightness of the PlayStation 5 light, know that from today it is possible to change it slightly via a special option .

The first step as usual consists of accessing the settings menu : from the PlayStation 5 main screen, press the Triangle button to move the cursor to the corner of the screen and then click on the Gear icon. Once in the menu, first select System and then Beep and light .On the right side of the screen you will notice both the options to change the sound when you turn on your PlayStation 5 (you can lower the volume or disable it completely) and those to change the brightness of the light that indicates that the console is running. In addition to the standard option, which is the brightest, you will find two others that will make the LED less visible.

In case you notice that this option is missing from the menus of your PlayStation 5, don’t worry. In fact, this is a feature currently available only to users who have downloaded the Beta version of the new firmware and, consequently, to be able to use it normally you will have to wait until the update reaches its final version and can be downloaded by any owner of PS5.

If you haven’t already done so, we invite you to take a look at our in-depth look at the PlayStation 5’s front LED , so you can find out what all the colors mean and what to do when there’s something wrong.
