NVIDIA has stopped production of GTX 16 video cards

The VideoCardz portal, citing Chinese sources, writes that NVIDIA has finally stopped production of GTX 16 series video cards. The company has sent out documents to partners that mention video cards no older than RTX 20.

It is expected that stores will sell off the remaining GTX 16 – there will be no more restocking. Thus, NVIDIA completely abandoned the GTX brand in favor of RTX. The GTX 16 series included the GTX 1660 Super, GTX 1660, GTX 1650 and GTX 1630 graphics cards.

Chinese sources believe that the remaining stock of the GTX 16 will be sold out in the next 1-3 months. The GTX 1660 line was discontinued at the end of 2022 . Graphics driver support for GTX 16 is still ongoing.

Thus, the budget options for cards from NVIDIA remain the mobile RTX 2050 and RTX 3050.
