NO CENSORSHIP FOR STELLAR BLADE IN JAPAN, THE PUBLISHER OF DEAD SPACE REMAKE DOESN'T AGREE

Although Stellar Blade was accepted without problems by the CERO (Computer Entertainment Rating Organization), the Japanese body that deals with the classification of video games, I did not accept the remake of Dead Space and this difference in treatment was not looked upon favorably by Shaun Noguchi , a member of EA Japan.

The general manager of the company’s Japanese division, in fact, published a series of messages on his personal X/Twitter profile to highlight some of what he believes to be major problems with the classification of games in Japan, where Stellar Blade can be sold to those who have turned 17 but Dead Space Remake is not .

Noguchi’s criticisms do not seem to refer to the transparencies of the clothes of the protagonist of the title Shift Up , but precisely to the scenes of violence in which we see dismembered characters, which according to the general manager are not so different from what was seen in the Visceral horror remake Games released in 2008.

It is worth pointing out that the criticisms were made without any hatred towards Stellar Blade, in fact the EA Japan member also published a second post:

“I would like to add one more thing to avoid any misunderstanding. I have no hard feelings towards Stellar Blade. In fact, I find it very interesting and recommend purchasing it! This is simply a complaint about the ambiguity of the classification process in Japan, there are many examples of ambiguity also regarding other titles.”

While waiting to find out if the controversy will push the CERO to review its position on the game, we remind you that Stellar Blade says no to censorship, given that there will be no cuts or changes of any kind .
