New Genshin Impact character Emily will appear in update 4.8 – the first elemental hero Dendro in the last year
miHoYo has announced a new Genshin Impact character – her name is Emily and she will be part of update 4.8. This will happen shortly before the release of the next major region of the game – Natlan, about which a video recently appeared .
Emily will be the first Dendro-elemental character since Kirara, released in May 2023, and the first dendro-elemental hero from the Fontaine region. Previously, during the 3.X updates dedicated to Sumer, we saw a whole series of Dendro characters. Now this element is represented by eight unique heroes, which exceeds the number of characters of the Geo element, which has not received updates for a long time – until the recent release of Navia and Chiori.
Update 4.7 will introduce two new five-star characters, Clorinda and Sigevinn, as well as a new four-star hero, Sethos, with Emily being the only new character in version 4.8. Given this fact, and the fact that it is rare for new four-star heroes to appear two updates in a row, we can assume that Emily will be a five-star character Dendro.

Fresh, floral, fruity… These are the scents of Emily’s perfume, carefully crafted, exquisitely presented and dazzlingly displayed on the shelves of the Quartier Lyonnais in Fontaine.
The recent release of an Artifact set that grants bonus damage when fighting enemies under the Flame effect has sparked speculation in the community that Genshin Impact may be introducing a Dendro character focused on this reaction, as it has gone largely unnoticed until now.
As for Emily’s fighting style, nothing is known about it yet.
