Mortal Kombat 1 will be free to play next week

WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have announced that Mortal Kombat 1 will be free to play between March 7 and March 11. The promotion will be available on all platforms except Switch and territories where the fighting game is officially sold.

The trial version of Mortal Kombat 1 will offer players all online and local content on one screen, the first two chapters of the story campaign, access to the base roster of heroes and cameo fighters.

PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass are required to play the Mortal Kombat 1 trial online .

In addition, during the free weekend, Mortal Kombat 1 will receive a 40% discount on the standard and Deluxe editions. The progress accumulated in the trial version can be transferred to the full version.

Crossplay coming to Mortal Kombat 1 next week

Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
