Monster Hunter Wilds will push the limits of the hardware and not just for high-end graphics
During interviews with the press, the Monster Hunter Wilds team explained how they will exploit the power of today’s consoles and PCs for the new chapter of the series.
Thanks to the interviews granted by members of the Monster Hunter Wilds development team, new interesting information is arriving on the new chapter of Capcom’s hunting series. One of these is that one of the objectives of the team led by Yuya Tokuda is to make the most of the hardware of modern consoles and PCs , not only to guarantee an obvious graphic leap compared to previous chapters, but also and above all to create a world even more alive, vibrant and convincing than that of World.
“Honestly, it was always clear in my mind that that was the direction I wanted to take,” said Yuya Tokuda, game director of Wilds and World, in an interview with PC Gamer. “Every Monster Hunter game I direct will always focus on the ecosystem element. As the generations of hardware we’re working on become more and more powerful, I want to make the most of the hardware specs to represent a living world and pulsating as convincingly as possible.”
Monsters will also be more realistic
The topic was also touched on in an interview with GamesRadar, where this time Ryozo Tsujimoto, the historic producer of the Monster Hunter series, spoke, where he explained that the possibilities offered by the hardware of PS5, Xbox and PC will also allow an approach different from Rise (actually born as a portable title) and to bring everything to a new level compared to what was seen in World, also with regards to the artificial intelligence of the monsters , which we can therefore expect to be even more refined and multifaceted.
Monster Hunter Wilds will push the limits of the hardware and not just for high-end graphics
“Similar to World, with Wilds we are targeting consoles and PC, and we know that gamers want a different experience when they sit in front of a big screen with their console and high-quality hardware and really immerse themselves in the world of I play at home,” Tsujimoto said.
“It’s a different approach than that of Rise. Using the latest generation hardware for consoles, and also for PC, allows us to take the immersion and fluidity with which we began the series with World to the next level. This means that not only the richness and excitement of the actual gameplay, but also aspects such as the artificial intelligence of the monsters can be further improved with this type of hardware. There are so many more possibilities.”
