Mod for Baldur’s Gate 3 turns RPG into a co-op roguelike for 100 hours
Now you and your friends can try out a mod for Baldur’s Gate 3 that turns the game into a roguelike. With a unique progression system, over 100 hours of potential content, and a dynamic difficulty level that scales with your progress, you’ll be able to test your BG3 combat skills and beat the game once again.
This mod is called Trials of Tav, and it turns Larian’s CRPG into a full-fledged turn-based roguelike. BG3’s turn-based DnD combat is already very deep and encourages experimentation, so turning the game into an endless roguelike seems quite logical. This mod can be played alone with NPCs or with friends. When you enable Honor Mode in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll start from scratch every time you die, just like in the classic roguelike.
This purely combat-focused mod forces you to fight enemies in different rooms and increase your RogueScore, which helps you unlock increasingly powerful upgrades. The mod features 38 maps, over 250 enemies, and over 100 hours of new game content. At least that’s what developer Hippo0o claims.

You can play with your old progress saved so that your RogueScore can help tailor the roguelike mode to your progress, but it is recommended to start with a new save so as not to spoil the old one and get the full experience.
After each fight, you will receive random loot and head to camp to prepare for the next fight. There’s even currency that can be used to unlock new spells, camp supplies, and other upgrades.
If you install Honor Mode and complete the entire game without dying, you can start a new run in New Game Plus mode. The enemies will be more difficult and the game will become harder, but you will start with full builds.
