MAJOR MOTOKO JOINS CALL OF DUTY MOBILE IN FLAWLESS COSPLAY
Given the enormous success received by titles that have now become inextricably linked to the battle royale genre, such as PUBG and Fortnite, Activision also decided to invest in the production of a game that could fit into the sector. Thus in 2019 Call of Duty: Mobile took shape , still among the most played on smartphones.
In May 2021 this mobile version of the first-person shooter that has marked the history of Activision, however developed by TiMi Studios , reached 500 million total downloads worldwide, surpassing titles such as Among Us, and, by far the “competitor” PUBG Mobile. In July 2023, however, Activision revealed that in over 3 years of life, the title had brought around 3 billion dollars into the company’s pockets , an extraordinary result for a game “limited” to mobile devices.
Today it still continues to entertain millions of players through the different modes available, a battle royale, a multiplayer with team deathmatch , conquest, domination, search and destroy, and the now inevitable zombie mode, which has become a symbol of the parallel adventures of the franchise.
Over the years, in addition to re-proposing characters known in the regular series, the authors have also created characters specifically for COD: Mobile, such as Major Motoko Kusanagi, honored in a splendid, and faithful, cosplay that you can see at the bottom of the page.
Finally, let’s remember that COD: Mobile almost looks like a console game if connected to a screen using an iPhone 15 Pro .
