Clockwork Revolution has come under scrutiny for a rumored release date released by a voice actor. Will it all be true? The Xbox team responded to the issue with a meme.
Recently, an announcement on IMDB suggested that inXile’s Clockwork Revolution could be released in 2025. This was reported in an announcement shared by a voice actor working on several upcoming video games. The list indicated a series of release dates and code names for the games. However, there was no confirmation that what was indicated was correct and now in fact there seems to be a denial.
The developers of Clockwork Revolution have apparently made fun of these rumors related to the game’s release date.
inXile’s meme about the release date of Clockwork Revolution
inXile has basically confirmed that this is absolutely fake information published by the actor in question, precisely using a meme – which you can see below – coming from The Umbrella Academy , the famous Netflix TV series.
Precisely the meme reads : “Me trying to figure out when our game will be released” and in the second part “A voice actor who invents a release date for his IMDB”. The point of the meme is that both sides are amazed at the other.
Clockwork Revolution is described as a steampunk first-person role-playing game that will revolve around time travel. The game is directed by game director Chad Moore and principal designer Jason Anderson: both worked on the famous steampunk RPG Arcanum.
Clockwork Revolution will be released for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and will be available with Game Pass .
