Helldivers 2 to Get Two New Flamethrowers and More Content on August 8
Helldivers 2 is about to get some new content that will allow players to put on a real fire show. The developers have announced the release of a new warbond called Freedom’s Flame, which will be available on August 8.
The main feature will be two new flamethrowers – one as a primary weapon, the other as a secondary one. Given the possibility of using the flamethrower as a stratagem, players will be able to equip three flamethrowers at once.

In addition to flamethrowers, the set will include the SG-451 Cookout shotgun, the name of which likely refers to the novel “Fahrenheit 451”. This is quite in the spirit of Arrowhead, who like to emphasize the dystopian nature of the Super-Earth government.
Freedom’s Flame will also offer two new armor sets – light and heavy, both with a 75% bonus to fire resistance. An interesting new feature will be the Hellpod capsules with the Firebomb option, which will create a powerful fiery explosion upon landing.
For those who like customization, orange skins will be available for the Pelican landing craft, capsules, and mechs. There will also be new animations.
