GOOGLE PIXEL 9 PRO, THE FIRST RENDERINGS LEAKED: WILL IT BE SMALLER AND WITH A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN?

There is already talk of the Google Tensor G5 chips , arriving next year on the Pixel 10. In the meantime, however, there is very little information available on the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro : only in the last few hours, for example, a video render of Google Pixel 9 Pro, which shows us some interesting differences compared to the Pixel 8 line.

The video was published by the MySmartPice channel on YouTube and was created in collaboration with the leaker OnLeaks. These are the first images of the Google Pixel 9 Pro to appear online: first of all, they show that the smartphone will have smaller dimensions compared to the Google Pixel 8 Pro (here is our review of the Pixel 8 Pro , if you want to know more), with a screen measuring just 6.5″ , compared to the 6.7″ of the current generation top of the range.

At the same time, the Pixel 9 Pro camera housing has also been drastically changed: now, it no longer runs from side to side of the smartphone, but stops a short distance from its edges and adopts a “pill” design. Nonetheless, the housing still maintains enough space to hold three cameras, an LED for the flash, and the thermometer introduced on the Pixel 8 Pro . The selfie camera will have punch-hole technology , so under-display technology will not be integrated in this round either.

Furthermore, the Pixel 9 Pro camera housing should bring the thickness of the smartphone up to 12 millimeters in the most prominent points: the rest of the body of the device, however, will be 8.5 millimeters thick. However, it is not clear what material will be chosen for the central frame of the smartphone: so far Google has used aluminium, but the chances that it will follow Apple and Samsung and adopt a titanium body seem quite high.
