The PC version of Ghost of Tsushima has received the first update made by Nixxes, which introduces a series of technical improvements linked in particular to the functioning of the DLSS 3 and FSR 3 technologies.
As we wrote in our analysis of Ghost of Tsushima on PC , the Sucker Punch title offers in this edition a large number of settings that allow you to scale the experience to different configurations, but it still needs some refinement.
“ Ghost of Tsushima Patch 1 for PC is now available on Steam and the Epic Games Store,” Nixxes wrote. “This first update contains various changes to improve stability and fixes a couple of visual bugs related to DLSS 3 frame generation and AMD FSR 3 upscaling.”
“We’ve been thrilled to see so many of you dive into Jin Sakai’s story and really appreciate the positive and constructive feedback we’ve received so far! The Nixxes and Sucker Punch teams are working hard on new updates to address other issues raised by the community and further improve stability on specific hardware configurations and in Legends multiplayer mode.”
The details of the update
The changelog for update 1053.0.0522.1042 is rather dry:
- Stability improvements.
- Fixed visual bugs that could occur when transitioning from cutscenes to gameplay with NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation enabled.
- Fixed graphics that could appear when combining AMD FSR 3 upscaling with Dynamic Resolution Scaling.
As mentioned in the aforementioned analysis of Ghost of Tsushima, however, some uncertainties persist in the use of frame generation, both on the NVIDIA and AMD side, as well as some random frame rate drops during some phases of the game.
