FORTNITE: RELOAD ANNOUNCED THE NEW MODE INSPIRED BY RETURN OF COD WARZONE
After having already given the community a blast from the past with the OG Season, Epic Games surprises Fortnite players again by announcing ‘ Reload ‘, a new Battle Royale mode that resizes and modifies the iconic map of Chapter 1.
The arrival of this new mode was almost a shock to the Fortnite fanbase, since no information about its existence was leaked in advance , despite the roadmap for 2024 having been leaked in April. Players will gain access starting tomorrow , June 22 , and will be able to try yet another variation on the Fortnite Battle Royale theme, for what appears to be in all respects a new permanent mode. Looking at the official reveal trailer, we can confirm the names of six main areas in Reload , some of which are quite familiar: Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, Retail Row, Lil’ Loot Lake, Lazy Labs, and Sandy Sheets.
Epic describes the mode as “a place of great energy and forgiveness”, alluding to gameplay focused on reviving players who are momentarily knocked out. In short, it would seem that the mode is in some way inspired by Return of Call of Duty Warzone , which resizes its battlefield and allows the redeployment of operators for a good part of the match.
