Capcom’s official “Super Elections” have closed, showing some surprise results regarding favorite game and most loved character.
The “super elections” called by Capcom have concluded and have led to some rather surprising results , especially regarding the public’s favorite game and the most loved character , both categories that put Devil May Cry on the throne.
Despite the presence of titles of enormous importance and which are also regularly more successful on the sales front, such as Resident Evil and Monster Hunter, apparently the favorite game belongs to the Devil May Cry series, with in particular Devil May Cry 5 winning the most loved game title ever, according to the survey.
The others arrive only later, also positioned below another surprising presence on the podium: in second position we find the good old Dino Crisis .
Somewhat unexpected first two places
There is evidently a discrepancy between the preferences expressed in the survey and the actual popularity of the games, at least as regards actual sales.
A certain “regularity” on this front is instead found in the preferences expressed on the entire Capcom series where Resident Evil and Monster Hunter dominate as the most loved series , demonstrating a correspondence with the results recorded in terms of sales.
This is the top ten of the Capcom games most loved by the public, with the amount of votes collected reported:

- Resident Evil 4 Remake – 9.017
- Devil May Cry 4 – 8,521
- Okami – 8,215
- Monster Hunter World: Iceborne – 7,268
- Resident Evil 4 – 7,134
- Resident Evil 2 Remake – 6,533
- Monster Hunter: World – 5,232
- Breath of Fire 3 – 5,142
It should also be noted that in Japan the most popular game is Okami , which is also evidently not supported by a corresponding success in terms of sales.
The supremacy of Devil May Cry is also confirmed by the election of the favorite character among those of Capcom, with Dante also winning this election, slightly surpassing Leon S. Kennedy and further distancing the third place, Mega Man.
