FANTASIAN: FINAL FANTASY’S FATHER’S GAME ARRIVES ON CONSOLES THANKS TO SQUARE ENIX?
According to what reported by insider Nate The Hate, Square Enix is preparing to announce the console versions of Fantasian , a role-playing game developed by Mistwalker, a studio founded by none other than Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy.
Fantasian has been available on mobile platforms since 2021 , as an Apple Arcade exclusive. Apparently, however, Square Enix is collaborating with the Mistwalker studio for a console version of the game and the announcement could take place as early as today during the Nintendo Direct in June .
It should be noted that Fantasian can also count on the soundtrack by Nobue Uematsu , in fact it was a return of the golden couple Sakaguchi/Uematsu, the game is currently exclusive to Apple Arcade but according to Nate The Hate it corresponds to the truth, probably the agreements between Mistwalker and Apple are about to expire and Square Enix would appear as publisher of the console version.
In recent months Fantasian was spotted on Steam , however it is not clear whether this version will be published by Square Enix or whether the publishing rights belong to Mistwalker, since the insider only mentions the console versions of the game without ever naming the platform PC.
This would certainly be an interesting announcement for lovers of old-school role-playing games , we just have to wait a few hours to find out more.
